By the words ‘scientific', ‘futuristic' – what do we understand? We can understand some experiments, some attractive products, objects etc. But the science stays on the base of all. Starting the era from the very early days, till now, science has given to us many miracle inventions. One of them is ‘Computer'. Being originated from a Latin word, the computer has got its place almost each and every field and made people's works done very easily and within a few moments.

With the development of the computer, many facilities and properties have been developed that make it attractive and easy – operative to its user. One of these facilities is internet service. The networking is done within a limited area so that the computers within that area become interconnected and can able to share information within them. According to the distance, Networking is classified as 3 types – LAN (Local Area Network), MAN (Multiple Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network). Rather talking about these things, let us now focus on the main topic, which includes two most important protocols of the networking. The first one is ‘Telnet' and the second one is ‘POP3'. Let us know a few about these two. Telnet is normally used on LAN and Internet. Text – oriented messages pass through it. The message transfer process is bidirectional. The first telnet joined the computer networking family on 1969. Its first version was RFC15.
